About the role
On Purpose Therapy is looking for both graduates AND experienced Occupational Therapists to join our team on a full time or part time basis.
We pride ourselves on providing high quality services within the context of the social model of disability.
We are a mobile service providing Occupational Therapy in natural environments (where people live, work, and play). You will be supporting a diverse caseload of adult NDIS participants with various diagnoses.
You will be completing informal and standardised assessments, ongoing skill development and capacity building sessions, and written reports.
Referrals are carefully matched to our therapist’s skill sets and interest areas to ensure you work within your scope of practice so we can provide high quality services.
New graduates can commence once registration is obtained.
A typical day in the life of an OT at OPT
No single day looks the same. We provide plenty of face to face sessions with participants for assessments and implementation of recommendations. We also have a chunk of non face to face service delivery, which can be completed whenever and wherever you choose. Our current OT's are absolute beach bums so you'll usually find them sitting at a picnic table with a coffee down by the lake or beach.
With a varied caseload, one moment you could be trialing equipment, the next supporting someone to develop self-advocacy and effective communication skills, and the next engaging in a stakeholder meeting to develop an action plan.
Our biggest flex
Structure your days how it suits you around your family or lifestyle. We want you to have a social life, go to that gym class in the middle of the day, attend a school assembly, or be available for pick/up drop off. Our achievable KPI’s allows you the freedom to choose how and when you do your work – we trust you.
